Cult TV fave Doctor Who returned to our screens on Sunday with one massive change to its 55 year history.

For the first time, the coveted role of the Doctor, was played by a woman, and not only that but a Northern woman! Jodie Whittaker who hails from Huddersfield, was the lucky actor chosen to fill the Doctor’s big shoes and fans appear to have loved the change.

Our team across the Pennines were privileged to work on the series, with the first episode being primarily shot in Sheffield, with a cast made up of all Northern actors, with the exception of Bradley Walsh.

It’s great that the North Is now on a par with London in attracting the Big Name shows and artists to our region, and once again Capricorn was chosen to provide the security for the production. Long may it continue!
